Special Edition Jané Rider Classic at The Baby Show, Manchester, 2012, by Aswalia

This was the first time I’d been to a Baby Show so I didn’t really know what to expect. I went on the final of the three days, Sunday, which I think was the best day for people looking to make big purchases. There were huge discounts on nursery furniture, pushchairs and carseats so it would be perfect for parents to be to who want to save a bit of money. The show was smaller than I expected but there was still a lot to look at and to compare between different retailers in one space.

I went to the show in order to have a look and try of some of the new pushchairs to the market. I was able to try out the Baby Jogger City Versa GT, the BabyStyle Oyster Max and the Bugaboo Cameleon³.

I also spotted a special edition Jané Rider with a chrome chassis which I thought was very attractive indeed. I couldn’t see a seat unit but it did have a Micro carrycot on which was a very different fabric to the usual Jané carrycots. I personally thought it was a bit old fashioned looking and would prefer a standard Jané Rider carrycot on the shiny chassis, but I’m sure plenty of people would disagree with me on the fabric. Having since seen images of the seat unit, I think it looks very nice as a complete pushchair but it is only available in navy blue.

I would like to add my thanks to Ladybugs for allowing me to take photos, and for letting me have a general play with their pushchairs.
