Hi Julie,

No, when the seat unit is rear facing, you have to remove it in order to fold the Phil & Teds Smart. This is due to the angle of the seat unit when rear facing.

Thanks
Theresa.

Hey,
I'm looking at this stroller to use in London. Want the baby to face us but want to know, when the seat is in this position can you fold it down or do you have to reverse the seat again to fold like so many other strollers and pushchairs? Would be helpful to know!
Thanks

Hi Gemma, I've tried my 4yr old son in the Smart for you and although he is taller than the seat unit itself, meaning part of his head is above the seat back, he still has loads of headroom under the sun canopy.
I hope that helps.

Thanks for your comment Holly, I'm glad you love using your Smart too. To be honest, I haven't experienced any problems with my little ones playing with their hoods but thanks for mentioning it, as well as the point about the raincover too.

I had a p&t sport which i love and still use very much now but i have got the p&t smart now as i needed something smaller for on public transport. Smart is great, sits straigt up when forward but you do need the verso to get a recline. Also the sunshade which is great that it follows the sun, but cant be locked inplace so my 15mth old loves to play with it! And the rain cover is pretty weak against older babies, thin velcro straps that are kicked of. I do still love using it as its small, light and stylish, great for around towns. Just wanted to point out a few points i think might have been missed.
