WOW!!! What a fantastic and in-depth review. We have ordered a verve and it is due to arrive this week and i can't wait! I am really hoping that i love it, as it is an expensive pram. People seem to either love or hate the verve, so fingers crossed!
Thanks again- all the photos were great too.

Hello, thank you for a fantastic review. can you please tell me if it it possible to have both seats reclined at the same time? i mean if the back seat is in a reclined position, can you recline the main one as well? can both babies sleep at the same time?

And lets say that the one of the babies is a newborn, i understand then that the main seat is in a recline position and a toddler goes on top? do you think the toddler can sleep then as well? can his seat be reclined then?
thank you

Thanks Sarah. I went to the Phil&Teds University two weeks ago and their Verve was much much easier to put the doubles kit on (theirs literally dropped into place and caught on both sides straight away) and to fold. I came home and tried mine again and the doubles kit only dropped into place one in ten times. The Phil&Teds Uni Verve fold release catch moved easily whereas mine seemed to stick as described. So Phil&Teds have kindly taken my Verve back to be checked over and it is currently with them. If mine is found to be faulty then I will edit my review to reflect this :) But I will try what you have suggested once it returns. Thank you.

In the UK prams are the traditional sort like our logo - Silvercross carriage prams are probably the best example. But prams really now mean a carrycot on a chassis. Buggy is traditionally a small fold umbrella fold pushchair like the Silvercross Pop. The word 'stroller' gets used for these now too. A pushchair is really a more substantial seat on a chassis more like a Graco. But more recently travel systems with car seats, carrycot and pushchair seat like iCandy's have blurred the line between pram and pushchair, and lighter versions eg the Quinny Zapp between buggy and pushchair!! It's probably much easier to have one word like you have in the USA!!

You may have figured this out already but it's much easier to remove the second seat if it's not locked into a recline position. It doesn't need to be all the way up for folding, just not locked in - it will pop right off then when it's difficult/impossible to remove when locked in. I love this site, even though I'm in the USA and don't have access to many of these fabulous strollers. Though I will admit I'm still not clear on the stroller/pram/pushchair/buggy distinction since they're all strollers here!

Hope this helps - Sarah

Hi Keeley,
I have to say that yes I did feel she was squashed. It was very awkward for her to climb in, and then for me to bend in there to do the straps up. There is much more room for her in the B-Dual lower seat. However she chooses to be in the lower seat (I think to some degree she likes the "den" like feeling), but I feel her legs are squashed. But the reason I bought the Verve is for the handling - the easy manoeverability, easy lifting up kerbs with two heavier children - and it meets that need with ease. Having the seats positioned where they are makes a huge difference to the handling. It's by far the easiest pushchair to push with two children in. We only walk a mile or so at a time so its not like she is in there for hours, and she has the choice of the top seat! There is no perfect double / tandem pushchair and there are compromises to be made with them all.

The space below the top seat seem very small - did your toddler feel squashed?
I know it's probably too early for a child to officially feel claustrophobic but I'd feel uncomfortable for my child, putting him in there.
