Thank you for your answers. After reading it, I don't know if the iCandy will be the best choice for us, financially. Might just buy a pre-owned Britax instead. same concept, but much more common and cheaper in Sweden.
Thank you again for a great website!

Hi Lia,
If you buy a Blossom kit ie a lower seat unit plus the S shaped adaptors, then you can certainly purchase the lower seat car seat adaptors which will mean your Cabriofix can be added underneath the main seat unit. There are photos of this at the top of this post, and also in my photos near the bottom: https://www.bestbuggy.co.uk/2011/04/icandy-peach-blossom/ You DO have to buy the Blossom Kit to get the adaptors though.
As I have replied to the above poster, iCandy last told me that they hoped to have the 2011 kit available at the end of this year (BTW I have named it the 2011 Peach Blossom. iCandy call it something like the Pip2!)
I really really really hope iCandy make a tandem raincover!

Hi Ruby,
Originally back at the Harrogate show we were told 2012 for launch in the US and then 2013 for launch in the UK. But when the Peach was delivered by iCandy I was told that they were now looking at summer 2011 for the US launch and the end of 2011 for the UK. That is as much as I know. The Peach Blossom that I currently am using is a prototype and may get tweaked. But the new design is brilliant compared to the old one, and also to most other tandems. I hope it comes out soon :)

Hi Justine

Thanks for your reviews - so helpful. We have an icandy Peach and are expecting baby number 2 in October. I intend to get the converters to allow a cabriofix carseat to be attached but wasn't sure if that's compatible with my existing main seat. I've tried looking this up on the icandy site but its not at all clear. I'm also interested to know if the updated 2011 kit will be available in the UK soon. I will also add to your plea for a single raincover. I just can't see how the separate cover combo is practical.

Thanks

Hi Sandra,
Spookily I had a reponse from iCandy earlier today and as a result have updated the post above to reflect the information and updates that they have given me.
To try to answer your questions

1. If you re-read the piece above you will see that I have been given this information from iCandy:
"The Peach basket has been lengthened slightly to accommodate the larger Peach Blossom carrycot in the lower position, and also to allow room for the Pebble car seat to fit onto the lower position on the pip convertor. iCandy will be implementing a change to the Peach chassis to enable models manufactured prior to the new Peach Blossom launch to be fitted with the new Pip2 converter bars and there is the possibility of modifying units should customers require it."
So it appears there have been or will be changes, but there will be a modification available.

2. Again there is a piece on the lower carrycot above but to sum it up: The Peach is sold as a single pushchair. The Peach Blossom whilst an upgrade is seen as a separate pushchair. The Peach Blossom carrycots fit on the Peach Blossom pip convertors. The Peach as a single takes the larger Peach main carrycot. Both of these situations ie single and Blossom carrycot modes have been extensively tested by iCandy. Butbecause the main carrycot is the perfect configuration for single use, iCandy will not recommend using either Blossom carrycot in single mode and apparently doing so could affect the warranty.

I have to say I agree with you however - and I have mentioned it to iCandy - that if you buy the lower carrycot, that as a parent, you would want to be able to use it safely in the main ie single position as well as in Blossom mode. There were many times where we were at home in the garden, that we had our newborn in a single carrycot, but yet when we were out and about, we needed the carrycot in tandem mode. We can only wait and see if iCandy respond.

In answer to your final question. I am afraid I do not know the answer simply because I do not have access to the carrycots. However my suspicion is that it simply will not be possible or realistic to have the carrycot in the upper position. If you look at these photographs of the Pebble car seat in the upper position, you can see how the lower child's seating position will be compromised. https://www.bestbuggy.co.uk/2011/05/new-icandy-peach-blossom-twin-at-harrogate-nursery-fair-2011/ I would assume the carrycot is longer than the Pebble seat. I believe there will be more room to access a child in the lower carrycot than there was previously. Extending the handlebar up will give you more space to access them.

I hope this helps.

Hi,
Just wanted to ask if you have any further information on the two issues you were going to check up on.
1. If one could use the new Blossom kit on a 2010 Peach?
2. If the Blossom lower carrycot could be used without the Blossom converterkit, as a single?

Really dont want to buy more than one carrycot and like the new features on the 2011 Blossom, so would really like to get it instead of the 2010. Live in Sweden, so probably wont be sold here for a while, but not expecting just yet, so have time to wait.

Also, do you know if I could use the upper carrycot with the lower seat unit? I'm a bit worried that there wont be enough room for easy access to the newborn baby if using the upper seat unit with the lower carrycot. Want to know my opptions, so if you know I would be greatful.

Thank you for a great website, it has answered a lot of my questions about the Blossom. :)

Regards,
