Babyhome Emotion Xtreet

I have a lot of affection for the Babyhome Emotion Xtreet. It is stylish and good looking and so neat to look at. The Xtreet is narrow without compromising on seat space.

The styling is gorgeous – the narrow silver frame with good quality fabrics, a sturdy hood, thick shoulder pads and chunky buckle. The wheels are a good size although are best suited to smoother surfaces. The Xtreet basket is one of the best I have seen on a lightweight pushchair. We managed to fit loads into it for our daytime outings when on holiday. We got two Pacapod pods, plus coats, drinks and more into it.

The Emotion Xtreet handle is lovely to hold although it is a tad low for me at 5ft 6ins. The handle is foam covered and feels good in your hand!

The Xtreet feels sturdy to push. It is a pushchair that you could use every day if you had to.  There would certainly be no issue squeezing the Xtreet into small spaces! The brake is easy to flip on and off. The hood can stand up to winds very well. It locks into position and offers good cover.

The Emotion Xtreet fold is a neat wedge shape. There is a side lock to keep it all together but its not terribly sturdy. But the Xtreet will fold with the raincover (or some small items) in the shopping basket which could make the Xtreet a useful pushchair for public transport.

The Xtreet has a slight recline – it is plenty for an older baby to nap with. The recline is easily done with a toggle system. It is easy enough to push the child upright afterwards.

The calf rest lifts up which has been brilliant for using the Xtreet with our baby. He has looked very comfortable in the seat with the leg rest up.

However our 3 year old hasn’t looked comfy. She has struggled to keep her feet on the slim, downward sloping footrest, and I think it has had an impact on how she sits in the Xtreet. She just looks awkward and uncomfy. I have tried everything I can think of to tighten the back recline strap up, to make the seat more upright, but it simply will not go any further.

It is a shame that the seating position / footrest isn’t quite right, because otherwise the Babyhome Emotion Xtreet has been a fabulous little pushchair, that looks great when out and about, but yet has been extremely practical and useful.
