Mountain Buggy Swift – Pre 2010

Here is a photoset of the Mountain Buggy Swift.

Please note that this is an older Swift – one of the last handmade Swift pushchairs made by Mountain Buggy before they moved manufacture to China. This is easily seen by the “One Tree Hill” green logo on the front footplate and the green logo labels on the side. The more recent Swifts have a black printed logo on the front footplate and brown labels. (See the Mountain Buggy +One section to see these features).

The main differences between our Swift and the current Swift are:

  • The logos and labels as discussed above
  • The new version of the Swift has wheel hubs which have been made flush to the rims which thus reduces the width of the pushchair by approx 5cms
  • The harness is more user friendly
  • The hood has an improved ratchet system, is larger and has a flick out sun visor.

The frame and basic features ie recline, basket, brake etc have not been changed on the more recent Swifts.

In fact when we attended the Phil&Teds University, it wasn’t until the very end of the day that an attendee pointed out to the demonstrator that the Swift that we had been using for the Demo was the older version. They hadn’t noticed!! So the differences are minimal.

Therefore although this is an older version, you should be able to get a good feel of the Mountain Buggy Swift, the size, features etc. from our photos and review.

Please note that our Swift is missing the front cap off the top of the wheel.
