Babystyle Oyster Gem Review by Tricia

Having owned over 400 pushchairs between 4 children over the last 10 years I was very excited to test run the Babystyle Oyster Gem. The Oyster Gem came to live amongst a Bugaboo Bee, a Stokke Xplory, a Maclaren Techno XT and a Phil&Teds. The Oyster Gem soon became the buggy of choice for outings. We loved the compact fold and the rear facing option. The weighted front wheel meant I could hang a change bag without risk of tipping. The Oyster Gem is very stable and not even remotely flimsy as I expected a three wheel light weight, compact stroller to be. The Oyster Gem pushes comfortably one handed whilst holding my older child’s hand and did not feel as if it was buckling like the Bee does. All in all I have enjoyed testing the Babystyle Oyster Gem. With a few adjustments this pushchair really would fill a gap in the market. The ability to add a carrycot and carseat, and the very reasonable price makes the Oyster Gem a very good birth-3+ years purchase.

Tricia’s beautiful daughter is just 2 years old.

Please note that these photos are of one of the pre-production Babystyle Oyster Gem pushchairs – the final production model may be slightly different.

Thank you very much Tricia for this review and photos.
