Graco Sky Review

Graco have come along way since I last had a pushchair by them, which was given to me by a friend 5 years ago.

This August 2013 Graco introduced the Sky to their range. Available in 3 colours, Sea Pine, Black Night and Purple Shadow. I have it in Purple Shadow  and find it is a head turner. The colour is totally stunning and gives the pushchair some mystery to it.

The very modern, stylish and sleek frame is very light weight and folds down in with just one hand and unfolds just as easily. Both the chair and the car seat just clicks into place on the frame with one click. To remove again is just as easy with pressing in a button either side and lift off.

I have mainly used the Graco Sky in the “Baby Nest” Mode, which is suitable for newborns. My daugther was 6 weeks when we got this. To convert the seat into the baby nest mode is really easy by just make a little adjustment to the foot rest. By having the foor rest reclined fully, the two side flaps that are tucked under the side if the frame unfold and fasten onto the foot rest. The flaps are secured into place by velcro straps. The chair is then fully reclined down. This enables your baby to lay flat.

The Sky seat can be used parent facing or forward facing.

I live in 2 bed appartment on the 2nd floor and find the Graco Sky very compact to store away and light enough to carry up 4 lots of stairs.

Using the Sky as a travel system is easy too. I prefered to use the car seat base with the car seat mainly because it so easy to just click in and lift off, saving you time rather then fiddling with the seat belts. I also think it feels more safe and secure using a base, but thats is my preference.

Another big plus for me, and I totally love it when we are out shopping, is the huge shopping basket. Not only can you fit your shopping in it, but it saves you weighing down the Sky with the bags on the handle which can be quite dangerous if overloaded and it tips up, so I was very pleased with having this big shopping basket.

I also noted how sturdy the Graco Sky feels, giving you great belief in how well it has been built, and that it has been built to last.

I have loved using the Graco Sky, and I know my daughter will be able to use it right up to she around 4 years.

The bonus side of this is that the pushchair and travel system doesn’t break the bank balance too! Yet you are still getting a very good quality, well built and well designed, modern, stylish pushchair. I would definitely recommend every mum to be and mums to go and check the Graco Sky out.
