Babystyle Oyster Zero at the Harrogate Nursery Fair 2016

The new Babystyle Oyster Zero was the surprise pushchair for us, at the Harrogate Nursery Fair. It was unexpected, stylish, neat, small and at first glance looks like the perfect all rounder. Whoever has styled the Oyster Zero has done a superb job. The Oyster Zero looks smart and luxurious, with the tan leatherette handlebar and swing away bumper bar, and the slightly textured looking fabrics.

The standard Babystyle Oyster carrycot fits on top to form a neat looking pram; and a Maxi Cosi Pebble car seat can be added to form a travel system (with adaptors). The seat is suitable from birth and there is a lift up calf rest to support little legs. There is a flick out silver sun visor on the huge extending hood to offer a child protection from the sun and wind.

There is no built in insect net as standard on the Zero, but there is a pocket provided if you wish to purchase one as an accessory to fit into the space. The basket is a large size with a handy extra pocket right at the front for raincover storage (or anything else!). There is also a brilliantly large pocket on the rear of the hood – great for phones, keys etc.

When Babystyle’s Ant said that the seat was big, at first I didn’t believe him…..so in he hopped, followed by 7 year old Little Miss BB (123.5cm tall) ! Wow! What a big seat, with good leg room. The size capacity is matched by superb all round suspension. It was noticeable how good the suspension was. Ant ran off whizzing Little Miss BB around the stand. She was no problem to push and manoeuvre.

The fold was very neat. The pushchair folds in half using a pull handle situated under a flap of fabric in the centre of the padded seat. The pushchair autolocks and then will freestand when folded.

The Babystyle Oyster Zero stroller will retail at just £199.99 (chassis, seat unit, hood, bumper bar, basket and raincover); with the carrycot in black costing £119.00 (including hood, apron, raincover and mattress). Additional colour packs for the carrycot are an additional £20 each.

All round the Oyster Zero is a little gem! We are definitely getting an Oyster Zero for Master BB when they go on sale in June. The harder question is: Which colour?!
