Joie Aire, Aire Twin, Evalite Duo and Litetrax at the Harrogate Nursery Fair 2016

We were delighted to see the new lightweight Joie tandem – the Evalite Duo. The sample we saw was still a prototype so we had to be careful with it. However, it was clear that this tandem had two good sized seats, a large basket and a super easy fold into a reasonably neat package as tandems go. It also freestands when folded. The best thing really was the weight. There isn’t much on the market that is light and easy to use, and Joie have definitely filled a gap with the Evalite Duo. One seat is suitable from birth, so this will be suitable for siblings or toddler twins, rather than for baby twins. We think this will be a great ‘chuck in the car’ stroller.

We saw again the Joie Aire and Aire Twin. The latter has been reduced in price since last year and really is a cracking cheap side by side stroller. Light, easy to fold, and another good pushchair to throw in and out of the car boot or take on holiday.

We loved the fabrics for the Joie Litetrax. They are a thicker more textured fabric, as opposed to the old more nylon raincoat look. There is a gorgeous navy blue, an orange and a cream colour. The Litetrax also now takes a carrycot. The 4 wheel version is now no longer a Mothercare exclusive, so it will be more widely available. We like the wider footrest on the 4 wheeled Litetrax. There is a useful parent console included in the box which has two cup holders and a lidded section. We liked the old Joie Litetrax, but the new one looks even better, and as a result we have been out and bought ourselves another one to try out! It is sat here next to my desk as I type ready to go out on the road over Easter.
