Mama’s and Papa’s Urbo

My heart was in my mouth when I first clapped eyes on the Mama’s and Papa’s Urbo. It is sleek, simple and beautiful. Perfect for the about town Mum who pounds the streets daily! With it’s Aluminium chassis it is nippy to push around and easy on the back with fully adjustable handles.

Compact, lightweight, at only 9kg. It faces both directions and has lie flat seat with large sun canopy which folds down right over your baby and has a viewing window. The Urbo has everything you need and is also designed for an urban lifestyle. You can get a carry cot for the buggy but the main seat is completely lay flat which means you can use it from birth without carry cot. With the purchase of relevant adapters you can attach the Mama’s and Papa’s Cybex group 1 car seat to it in either direction making it easy to transport from car to buggy chassis with a simple click.

The additonal footmuff is of superb quality and again in a matching lush black and grey hard wearing fabric. The handle, which is fully height adjustable, is finished in leather which matches the removable bumper bar which is also finished in leather.
The shopping basket looks shallow but when you use the buggy in the rearward facing direction I can fit a bag for life full of shopping underneath. Folds really flat and compact but the seat unit can only be collapsed with the frame in the forward facing position. The seat unit lays out nearly flat anyway so it’s just as easy to lay on top of the collapsed chassis.

I have used this buggy from birth everyday. I have got a lascal buggy board attached and it pounds to and from school with ease. I just found out it’s now available in lots of different colours but when I bought it only the black was available.

Negatives:
Yes, even this pushchair has negatives!
From fairly early on my front left wheel got jammed and you have to perform this funny manoeveoure to get the wheel back aligned. It just gets stuck.
The handle bar when pushing a lot of weight slips down so you have to keep pulling it up.
Not great suspension for off-roading. Near on impossible to push over rough terrain. This buggy is for the urbanite!
