Mutsy Evo with Children
Here are some photos of the Mutsy Evo with the children in.
The girl is aged 3.7 years old and is tall for her age (approx 102cms tall). The boy is 21 months old and is average height (approx 81cms tall).
As you can see, both children sit very comfortably in the Mutsy Evo seat unit.
The girl in particular looks really comfortable in the seat, especially forward facing with her feet well placed on the footrest. She is sat well upright and not semi reclined as she is in some other pushchairs. The seat is plenty big enough for her as well as being tall enough. She has plenty of head room under the hood. Even parent facing, she looks great and there were no complaints from her! She even could lie down comfortably which is something that she can rarely do in a pushchair these days.
The boy sits really well too, with no slumping or sliding. I liked the way the calf rest can be unzipped to make a deeper footrest section for smaller legs and feet. We also liked that the fabric could be tucked away behind the footrest should you wish to keep it clean after muddy walks!
The Mutsy Evo’s very upright seat position suited both children well, but equally both were easy to recline, and both looked comfortable reclined. There are four recline positions including lie flat which is suitable for use from birth.
The harness adjusted well and easily for both children. The harness fitted the eldest with room to spare. The harness also tightened up well for the youngest. Please bear in mind both children had winter clothing on (several layers!)
The seats and calf rest are well padded. The harness pads stay nicely on top of the shoulders. The harness itself is a soft canvas type webbing.
All round, Mutsy seem to have got the seat unit on the Evo absolutely right. Although you would think it is easy to find a seat unit that works well for two different aged children, the reality is that a pushchair seat unit usually suits one age or the other. The Evo accommodates our two childrens’ differences very well with a good seating position for both, and with good footrests for both (in different places).
I have to say the Evo has come out one of the best pushchairs we have tried, largely due to the level of child comfort! Well done Mutsy!
