Mutsy Igo at the Harrogate Nursery Fair 2013

We, here at Best Buggy, love small folding pushchairs. However, we also prefer not to compromise on features either.
Last year, we reviewed the Mutsy Evo and absolutely loved it. The seating positions were good, the push was great, and we thought it was great value for money. We did however have two things we would have preferred to be different – a slightly smaller fold (although the Evo is still very compact), and a telescopic handle instead of the long pivoting handle.

The new Mutsy Igo appears to resolve both of these issues with a fabulous compact fold 70 x 58 x 39cms with the seat attached, which is a similar size to the Evo but with no seat attached. With no wheels, the fold reduces down further to 63 x 49.5 x 18cms! The Mutsy Igo also has a telescopic handle which makes it feel shorter and neater to push. The Mutsy Igo is really smart and neat to look at too. We like the brushed aluminium chassis and quality fabrics.

However the Mutsy Igo does cost more – £398 compared to the Evo at £269.

The Mutsy Igo has a choice of two carrycots – the spacious Comfort cot, or the very light Lite carrycot, which weighs just 3.4kgs. The Mutsy Igo can also take a choice of car seats to form a travel system.

Our photographs show the Mutsy Igo being folded, and also side by side with the Mutsy Evo (darker grey seat) to show that the seat size and the wheel base is very similar.

The Mutsy Igo is definitely a pushchair we hope to have a closer look at here at Best Buggy HQ. It looks great!
