Babystyle Oyster Max With Children

This photoset shows the children in the Babystyle Oyster Max.

The boy is 26 months old and is 85cms tall (9th centile). The girl is 3 years 11 months old and is 105cms tall (91st centile). Although in reality the girl is now rarely riding in a pushchair, she does on occasions, and the fact that she fits so well into the seats of the Oyster Max, even with her height and big feet, is a credit to how large the seat of the Oyster Max is. To be honest, if she can fit in the seat unit, then most children will fit!

We love that the hoods of both seats slide up the seat frame by several centimetres – if you look closely at the photos, you can see what a difference this makes to headroom under the hood.

Our youngest has plenty of room in both seat units – in fact he looks small in the main seat unit. But the harness on the Oyster Max fits really well on him and he looks comfortable. There is plenty of space in the harness for our eldest too. We like that there is an adjustable calf rest for younger children, but also there is a lower footrest above the wheels, for an older child. The latter has made a real difference to the comfort for our eldest child. Her leg room is more restricted in the lower seat, but again she has huge feet for her age, and she did not complain (and believe me she would if she was not comfortable!).  In fact she asked to go in the lower seat again today.

It is early days for us using the Oyster Max, so we will review the pushchair properly, once we have used it for a longer period of time.
