Jané Twone v’s iCandy Peach Blossom 2

This photoset shows the Jané Twone side by side with the iCandy Peach Blossom 2.

What is important to point out is that there really is nothing much between these pushchairs in length, even though the Peach Blossom 2 may appear bigger. I measured both pushchairs as best that I could (it wasn’t easy to measure the Peach Blossom 2) by my reckoning the Peach Blossom 2 is literally 1-2cms longer which really is not worth mentioning. Please bear this in mind when you look at the photos. Please note as well that we have a minor issue with our Peach footrest because it will not lock in the lower position, thus it will make the Peach look slightly longer.

The back axles are lined up. The Twone handlebar rotates. This means that unless it is in the highest upright position (probably where you wouldn’t push), the handlebar extends further at the rear than the Peach handlebar (which telescopes into the handlebar), although the Peach lower seat appears to extend further. The lower seat is still inside the Peach handlebar therefore doesn’t add to the length.

What does make these two look different though is how the seats have been spaced and the height of the Peach Blossom seats.

Unfortunately Jané have changed the design of the Twone basket since the prototype that we saw back in March. This has made the lower seat much more cramped than we saw.

The Jané Twone is just marginally smaller folded, and is lighter to carry. It is also marginally lighter to push, but it does make a difference where the children are sat. It is heavier with the heaviest child on top.

We have three major issues with the Jané Twone:

- The cramped space in the lower seat

- The lack of basket space

- The extremely difficult access to the lower child

The price of these two pushchairs is not dissimilar.

Both have  lie flat options (extra to buy) for a baby and can take car seats to form a travel system. Both are suitable for twins as well as siblings.

We have no doubt that the iCandy Peach Blossom 2 offers far more than the Jané Twone does. However I have to say that one of our Best Buggy Focus Group would beg to differ with me, as she currently has the Peach Blossom 1 and has decided to keep the Twone instead. It serves to underline what we say on our home page that not everyone will like the same pushchairs, and will buy for different reasons. I offer her viewpoint to balance out ours, and hopefully she will do us a review at some point.

Meanwhile I will not say any more and will let the photos speak for themselves. Please DO go and read the reviews for the individual pushchairs on the relevant pages on Best Buggy for further information and details.
