Thule – Pushchairs and Bike Trailers at the Harrogate Nursery Fair 2015

We first spotted the Thule pushchairs being walked around the Harrogate Nursery Fair. These sleek, clean looking pushchairs really catch your eye, and we certainly noticed them!

There were two Thule strollers on display.

The Thule Glide is the grey pushchair in our photos. This is a high performance pushchair made for the serious runner. There is a fixed front wheel and a hand brake situated in the centre of the handlebar. The wheels pop off easily and the whole pushchair forms a surprisingly neat package. The Thule Glide weighs 9.9kgs.

We had a closer look at the Thule Urban Glide – the red one in our photos – which is an all round pushchair which is suitable for jogging, but equally would be nippy about town thanks to the front lockable swivel wheel. The Thule Urban Glide weighs 10.5kgs. The front wheel needs to be left on when folding.

The Thule pushchairs have a good recline and an adjustable sun canopy which both extends and moves to cover the child. They both have adjustable tracking behind the front wheel (blue knob) and we liked the enclosed water resistant shopping baskets to keep items dry whatever the weather. The handlebar is adjustable and there was plenty of room behind the pushchairs to allow for a long stride. The fold is hidden underneath a flap above the footrest. The fold is really simple to do.

The Thule pushchairs are suitable from 6 months of age and can hold up to 34kgs of child weight! It is possible to add a infant carrier to be able to use the Thule from birth, however, remember that it is not recommended that you run with a young baby.

They really are beautiful pushchairs.
The RRP is £425 for the Urban Glide and £400 for the Glide. A raincover will cost £35.

We also had a brief look at the Thule bike child carriers. These easily converted from pushchair (swivel wheels) to fixed wheel mode (for running with) or into bike mode. We loved how all the wheels could be stored on the child carriers, so that they were easy to find if you needed to switch modes. We were also impressed how easy it was to attach these bike child carriers to the back of a bike.

Thule also had their front and rear bike seats and backpack on show at Harrogate.
