Description:

The Stokke Scoot has been updated. There are new rubber, foam filled wheels and a bigger sun visor. There is an extra mid-recline position when both forward and reverse facing. The hood can have 30% ventilated area if desired to prevent build up of heat inside the canopy. The handlebar is a rotating one to allow more leg room for the adult to walk behind. The Scoot still folds neatly, one handed, with the pushchair forwards or reverse facing; has a huge basket and a large seat.

Pros:

Compact and neat. Large seat. One handed fold. Folds neatly with the seat left on in either direction. Longer stride space for the adult. Large extending hood with ventilation. This updated Scoot has 3 instead of 2 seat recline positions. Large basket. Will freestand with the seat folded forward facing but not rear facing.

Cons:

Price. Heavy for a smaller sized stroller. No calf / leg support for a sleeping older child (see our Stokke Scoot review photos). The new handle and wheels mean the fold is not as neat or as easy to unfold as the previous version. It is easy to get the handle stuck behind the wheels if it isn't positioned correctly. The mid recline is still quite upright. No autolock so can 'flap' when being carried. No carrycot option but there is a softbag. The enclosed seat makes it difficult to buy a footmuff or liners. The recline fabric bunches around the child's head when they are sat upright. Mesh vents near the child's head. Footrest fiddly to fit and move. The handle has a lot of side to side movement. The recline is not simple - to go from a deep to mid recline involves undoing one pair of difficult clips, and then doing up another set - tricky and slow to do 4 clips! The fold handle release is very stiff on our Scoot compared to the older version.

The Stokke Scoot is a very good stroller which has a roomy seat, large hood and a small, narrow footprint. The lie flat seat makes the Stokke Scoot suitable from birth. The Scoot seat can face in either direction and best of all, it folds neatly with the seat on in either direction ONE HANDED! The Scoot is relatively light weight and is easy to carry.

Pros:

One handed fold. Folds neatly with the seat on in either direction. Freestands when folded. Stylish. Huge seat, large hood. Adjustable footrest. Good size basket. Suitable from birth. Lightweight

Cons:

Only 2 seat positions - active ie upright and rest ie lie flat. There is no mid recline setting. There is no calf / ankle / foot support for a younger sleeping baby or child. The wheels have a slight vibration on them. No autolock so can 'flap' when being carried. No carrycot or car seat options. The enclosed seat makes it difficult to buy a footmuff or liners. The recline fabric bunches around the child's head when they are sat upright. Footrest fiddly to fit and move. The recline is not simple - two difficult clips need undoing / doing up.
