Phil&Teds Promenade Video

Description:

The smart looking Phil&Teds Promenade aims to bring some sophistication to the Phil and Teds range of single to inline tandem pushchairs. In single mode the Promenade seat can be parent or outward facing with a large basket and good stride. In tandem mode the seats both have to face away from you. Both Promenade seat units incorporate fabric which drops down to form 'lie-flat beds' for young babies instead of carrycots. The Promenade has a neat concertina fold with auto lock.

Pros:

Smart aluminium chassis and good styling. The newborn 'lie flat beds' are included in the design - two clips allow the fabric to drop down to form a flat bed. The additional use of a Phil&Teds cocoon, would give the option to easily remove or swap around baby/babies. But the lie flat option will also be useful for older babies too. Both Promenade seats can be tilted into three positions one handed. The front seat has an adjustable footrest which goes in three positions plus a zip out hood extension for sunny days. There are 8 possible seating positions. Parent facing option in single mode, but not baby / toddler or twin carrycot mode. Large shopping basket which has some access and space in tandem mode. Extremely long extendable handle. The harness shoulder pads can be adjusted independently. The hood slides up the chassis for older children.

Cons:

Heavy to push. The Promenade's lower doubles kit footrest is fixed, but the lower fabric can be unclipped to give more room. The seats in two carrycot mode (twins) are almost on top of each other. The hood on the doubles kit is small but it doesn't really need to be any bigger to fit. Only one car seat will fit on (ie no option for twin car seats). The Promenade doubles kit needs removing for folding. The zip out hood extension on the upper seat is mesh - not great for winter but it is thick and allows for ventilation in summer. The single seat adaptors for parent facing need to be very well secured, and the lower seat adaptors are fiddly. The first handlebar setting is only really for folding. The third handlebar setting extends the handle rather than increases the height - your child feels a long way from you with the third setting. No 'follow the sun canopy' like other Phil&Teds, nor is the Promenade all terrain.

The seats lie flat so are suitable from birth but there are carrycot and car seat options. Large seats, long leg rests, high child weight limits. Huge basket with pockets. Adjustable handle. Changing bag, raincovers, foot covers, bumper bars & Mosquito nets are included. Lots of fab accessories including air tyres, snack packs, consoles. Smaller than a standard door. Folds neatly. Hop on board allows a 3rd child to ride too.

Cons:

Currently only available in the US but StrollAir hope to be in the UK soon.

Kidz Kargo Duellette

Description:

The Kidz Kargo Duellette is single into tandem pushchair with many seating options including parent and outward facing options, for one or two children. It is a very exciting pushchair, with good parent facing options for twins. Attention to detail is good including swing away bumper bars, huge basket and storage pockets. The recent addition of a two car seat option makes this an interesting tandem option, and a great option for twins from birth.

Pros:

Interesting seating combinations, especially for baby twins or a newborn and toddler, starting with the car seat from birth.
Can work well as a single pushchair, or as a tandem. Easy to push although on the heavy side. Great seat units with liners. Rotating adjustable handlebar will suit all parent heights. Huge basket for shopping with easy front access. Huge hoods. Can take a Britax car seat.

Cons:

The seat units are not suitable before 6 months.
Some seating positions are more suited to certain ages than others - but the options are there!
The hoods are low but this is being addressed.

The new Baby Jogger City Versa combines the Baby Jogger City Mini together with the Baby Jogger City Select, to create a really interesting, compact, fast folding, parent & forward facing single pushchair. The Versa has classic Baby Jogger features like a large basket, huge hood, handbrake and best of all the one handed fold (all be it in two steps) no matter which direction the seat is facing! Not only that but the seat "remembers" the last position it was folded in, so that the seat is ready to go on your next outing. For those who want to take their pushchair off road, there is all terrain version with small foam filled tyres - the Baby Jogger City Versa GT!! Wow what a pushchair!

Pros:

The Versa seat faces in either direction. The one handed fold with the seat in either direction is a huge plus. Large storage basket. Handbrake. Large child capacity (50lbs in the US). Auto lock. Rotating handle with a large range. Extending footrest. Tall seat - 2 ins taller than the City Select. One of the best pushchairs that we have tested to date.

Cons:

Feels heavy to lift - but is not heavy to push. Raincover and belly bar are extras.

The one handed fold is a two step fold. The seat is folded down first and then the pushchair is pulled shut. The Versa can be folded with the seat in either direction. The seat has a "memory" which means that the pushchair will reopen with the seat in the last position that it was placed in.
There is a multipositional recline in either direction.
The footrest extends a notch like the City Select seat.
There is a Versa GT option with foam filled all terrain tyres.

Description:

The Bumbleride Indie is a smart, neat three or four wheel pushchair. The Indie is nimble and quick about town but also handles the challenges of off road terrain well. An adjustable footrest and strap recline give infinite seating positions. Great colours & lovely fabrics. There is a carrycot and also travel system options.

Pros:

Comfortable for the child - lots of options to support a sleeping child - strap recline & adjustable leg rest. Very light and ultra manoeuverable. Great looking! Raincover, air pump & cupholder are included. Large shopping basket. Adjustable handlebar. Rear of hood zips off for ventilation in summer. All terrain air tyres. The Indie 4 freestands easily.

Cons:

The Indie 3 is awkward to open and close. The footrest comes up whenever the pushchair is opened - and is fiddly to put back down each time. The bumper bar also needs resetting each time. The Indie 3 front wheel is not easy to pop off. Bulky when folded. The Indie 3 not easily freestand.

The Love N Care TwinGo is probably the side by side that most twin parents dream of! Independent seats allow each to outward or parent face. The TwinGo takes one or two carrycots and each seat reclines to near flat. Huge hoods protect the chlildren from the elements. A huge basket makes outings and shopping easy whilst the width means that standard doorways are no problem. A real gem of a pushchair.

Cons:
