Description:

The Stokke Scoot is a very good stroller which has a roomy seat, large hood and a small, narrow footprint. The lie flat seat makes the Stokke Scoot suitable from birth. The Scoot seat can face in either direction and best of all, it folds neatly with the seat on in either direction ONE HANDED! The Scoot is relatively light weight and is easy to carry.

Pros:

One handed fold. Folds neatly with the seat on in either direction. Freestands when folded. Stylish. Huge seat, large hood. Adjustable footrest. Good size basket. Suitable from birth. Lightweight

Cons:

Only 2 seat positions - active ie upright and rest ie lie flat. There is no mid recline setting. There is no calf / ankle / foot support for a younger sleeping baby or child. The wheels have a slight vibration on them. No autolock so can 'flap' when being carried. No carrycot or car seat options. The enclosed seat makes it difficult to buy a footmuff or liners. The recline fabric bunches around the child's head when they are sat upright. Footrest fiddly to fit and move. The recline is not simple - two difficult clips need undoing / doing up.

Description:

The Mountain Buggy Mini is a very lightweight, slim stroller that has been designed to meet the challenges of city terrain. The Mountain Buggy MIni is nippy to manoeuvere and easy to lift up kerbs. The one handed fold is easy to do and the Mini freestands when folded. However the fold is long and the new Aerotech wheels vibrate terribly on hard surfaces. The lie flat seat, carrycot and car seat options give plenty of choices for a newborn.

Pros:

Light. Easy to lift and carry with one hand. Freestands neatly. Easy to manoeuvere - the front wheel swivels freely. Good sized seat. Looks neat and unfussy. One handed fold. Autolock. Lie flat seat for newborns. High seat weight capacity.

Cons:

The wheels vibrate badly when pushing on hard surfaces. The handlebar joints are loose and move. The shopping basket is shallow at the front and things may fall out. The harness is extremely difficult to adjust quickly and needs altering round the back - frustrating with a child in the seat with a thicker coat on, one day, or when sunny and wearing less! Very basic and functional. Raincover is an extra.

The Britax Affinity is a cool looking pushchair packed with design features. The Britax Affinity is a travel system where the seat, carrycot and car seat all simply interchange without the requirement for adaptors. The Affinity seat is also suitable from birth using the included cosy infant insert. Each pushchair will have an individually numbered chassis which will be registered to prevent theft. A multipositional recline, air tyres, huge basket and optional colour packs all enhance this practical pushchair.

Pros:

Cool looking with various colour pack options and chassis colours. Britax's 'Click & Go' adaptors for the car seat and carrycot are integrated into the chassis. Easy to fold. Compact folded. Rear air tyres for a very smooth ride. Large shopping basket. Raincover included. Suitable from birth using the seat insert. Reversible seat unit. Lightweight frame. Can carry a child up to 17kgs. Numbered chassis registered to the owner. Autolock.

Cons:

Fairly heavy to push. Fold can be tricky with no seat on. Recline buttons can be awkward to reach when parent facing.

Each Affinity will have their own identification code stamped into the chassis. This is to try and combat theft of pushchairs by making resale harder as the original pushchair owner will be registered.
The suspension is adjustable.

Stokke Crusi

Description:

The Stokke Crusi is a pushchair with a high seat to allow good eye contact & connection with your baby or toddler. The Crusi is easy to open, fold and handle and has a huge basket. The large seat can face both ways, and the use of a carrycot or car seat makes it suitable from birth. The Crusi can also have a Sibling Seat added on for a second child.

Pros:

Easy to use, to set up and fold. Simple design. High seating position. Huge seat. The seat unit interchanges with the Xplory chassis. Great to push and use. Seat can face either direction.

Cons:

Expensive! The seat is fixed at the high point, so there is no option to have it lower. It is difficult to see around the seat unit when pushing.The basket is very exposed if the seat is parent facing. Long when folded.

The sibling seat is very badly thought out. PLEASE read our review if you are considering this. We would NOT recommend it. There are far better options for two children out there to buy for less!

Additional information:

The main seat of the Crusi is the same as the Xplory V3 seat. However only the latest V3 Evo seats can be used with the sibling seat. The footrest needs to be solid ie not hollow behind it for safety reasons.
The lower sibling seat of the Crusi is the same as the Scoot seat.
It is possible just to buy the chassis if you already have both these seats.

The Xplory carrycot does not fit on the Crusi.

Description:

The Stokke Xplory is a uniquely styled pushchair with offers a high seating position for the child to give it a good connection with the parent. The Xplory is a travel system with a large seat, roomy carrycot and car seat options. The Xplory is easy to push about town. The seat can parent or forward face, and can be adjusted to suit children from birth to 4.

Pros:

High seating position gives a great view for both parent and child Good choice of recline and height positions for the child. Huge parent and forward facing seat - the seat is suitable from birth with the included Stokke newborn insert which is depth adjustable for different ages of children. One handed recline and footrest adjustment. Can be folded one handed. Two wheel function to pull eg across the beach or to go up stairs. No cross bar to kick at the rear for a long stride. 3 year warranty.

Cons:

Price - very expensive! The accessories are very expensive too! No suspension. The buttons controlling the seat height and recline are tucked away underneath the seat unit and mean bending down to find. Raising the seat is a little tricky. The fold is bulky and long. The seat unit is bulky to store. Will only fold with the seat on forward facing. No basket - there is a small shopping bag included. The seat fabric at the rear gets dirty and damaged easily if the seat is laid on the floor eg putting in and out of the car.

The Kiddy City 'n Move is a modern looking, extremely well constructed, smart looking umbrella fold stroller. The City 'n Move can also be a travel system with the addition of a choice of car seats and adaptors. The City 'n Move has a very tall seat and can handle a larger child well, but equally the lie flat seat enables a little one to sleep comfortably. The Kiddy City 'n Move has been certified by the AGR to promote good health for the back of both the adult pushing and also the child.

Pros:

Great price for the good quality. Umbrella fold. Freestanding fold with a small footprint. The aluminium chassis is very eye catching. Sturdy. Good quality fabrics. Basket and raincover are included. Large seat. Good footrest length. Big hood. Fabrics have a UV80 standard. Certified by the AGR as being "back-friendly" for both the parent to push and child to sit in! Good choice of colours. Suspension on both front and rear wheels. Easy to remove front wheels.

Cons:

Long and slightly curved when folded - may be an awkward shape for smaller car boots. Small basket.
